Thumbs up I have found the golden motor, and it was good, and i held i above all others....

hehe, got a NOS motor today, abnd that things has GOBS of torque, i was making it climb 50 degree plus inclines and it was taking it like a champ.

BTW henry, my advice to you is to not put the motors in without some kind of modification, whether it is chassis or motor (i do the motors, since they are cheaper ) You can, but i've seen the rear end tab split and wear prematurely from using a stock ZZ motor in a stock BCG motor area (my rx-7 is proof of that, and hte inspiration for my coming up with the motor mod)

heh i need to get new wire clippers, mine can barely cut the ZZ contacts anymore.

anywho, i noticed that the lower end ZZ motors are seemingly poor performers as far as torque goes, blue motors are just too slow, the green ones are ok for flat courses with tight corners, red is a nice all purpose engine (only an acceptable climber though), and hte yellow (NOS) motor is like heaven...so much torque alone that it wins me over, heh ive got to get a 1.6 to se if this thing can outclimb it.
If not, its still going to be one of my motors of choice.

3.4 HENRY

Henry? did you say the 3.4 is slower than the NOS ZZ? THIS SHOULD NOT BE. Please let me know what setup you speak of

I need to know because If you bought a 3.4 with the ZZ enbell during our preorder for use in a Zip Zap, you are entitled to a replacement 2.8 which is MUCH faster. Our 3.4 ZZ motors were last minute built because during our 3.4 preorder for bits only, we realized that many people expected to use them in ZZ's- these 3.4 were not designed for ZZ's but we had the endbell style- unfortunately, they didnt work right in ZZ's. If this is the case, email me at driftkingshop@hotmail.com I will send you a free 2.8 replacement.

If you are using a Bit Style 3.4 in the ZZ, this may explain the slowness. Only our 2.8 has been tested to be faster in a ZZ

REMEMBER- our 3.4 are car-Specific! Using a Bit one in a ZZ will not work or vice versa. Please contact me. I want my customers to be happy with DKS motors!

I don't know what car/3.4 setup you refer to in your post, but it should NOT be slower! I will point you in the right direction!
