they came off of a "G Rides" '67 Notchback. I got it at walmart....
there were 2 then but i just bought one of them. Now after searching all the other stores and even toys'r us......i can't find another.

In fact, in that series, there is a old bug. it would look good with your set up, because the fronts are those sizes that i have, and the rears are a little bigger.

But as of now, the only place i've seen them are on e-bay.

Now I feel really stupid, I have a Maisto "G Rides" '67 Type 3 notchback sitting on my desk and didn't realize those were the same rims. I know all about their real Beetle with big&little rims (oval window with semaphores and a W-decklid), I got one before I knew about the notch. The bad thing is these are high enough quality replicas that I didn't want to trash them just for a rim donor.

By the way, if you can't find them go to Target.

Oh, that reminds me! somewhere I read that somebody had to put multiple layers of paint to cover up the black 53.
To keep the # of layers down, just use denatured alcohol to rub off the black!

(side note: the mess you see there is why my projects take a while.....dining room table is used to eat on , sometimes. ) )
