What do you mean by an "SE swap"? [/quote]
It means that I would swap a Zip Zap SE PCB in, which is proportional, compared to the stock PCB, which is not proportional. I was also gonna get fets done for this, but after a spin, it'd be uncontrollable with them, literally. This is the most well-made Radio Shack R/C ever. With all the top speed junk, I can go forward, then bakc real quick, which stand it on its tailgate, then hit forward and spin it on the 2 rear wheels, then I hit reverse, and it's back on the ground. I'm liking it more than my xmod right now!
Body: 9.5
Just beautiful, except the hood flames are a sticker.
Speed: 15 out of 10
INSANE SPEED AND TORQUE!
Quality: another 15 out of 10
Much better made than a regular ZZ, since axles can't wear out, and it's AWD!
With an SE PCB and servo, TTT trucks are gonna get owned.

Insane speed? Are you referring to the stock motor and gearing? These things have torque out the wazoo....but I don't think they are all that fast.
I agree that they seem to be well made and nice looking. They are also a heck of a lot of fun becuase they will run over obstacles you can't even touch with a regular ZZ.

I just bought the F-350 monster truck today and it definitely doesn't have "insane speed." It does have some good power, though. It can go up on just its rear wheels quite easily, and can handle some pretty tough surfaces and objects, too. It sometimes has trouble propelling itself in reverse on difficult surfaces, though. I guess that's because the front reals don't actually have the same pushing power as the rear wheels, and the rear wheels can't just drag the front wheels.

No. The stock motor and gears are just too slow, but Über torquey. I got the motor upgrade kit, and with red gears and the orange motor, it has slighly less toque, but a ton of speed. I think it could keep up with my fetted ZZ. With orange gears and an oragne motor, it's really fast, but has barely any torque. If you have a smooth, slick floor, get it up onto its tailgate (go backwards for a bit, then hit forward fast, and the moment it lands on the tailgate, let off), then once it's up on the tailgate, hold the forward button down. You should spin on your tailgate. I have a vid of it, but the quality's bad. Anyway, I am going to have it fetted and see what happens.

Stuff you can't even go over with a ZZ is an understatment. I drove OVER a ZZ with it! I wish I still had my matchbox cars so I could have a mini monster truck course.

I have a short vid of it spinning on the tailgate, and I just got Adobe Premiere (ripped), so I'm gonna have a go at it. I might try and get my hands on a camcorder for it.

thats cool. also what kind of angles have you been able to handle with these things? they claim 35 degrees? with all the talk of wheelies im sure its not a lack of power that prevents extream angles but more of doing a backroll off it

Wheelies are no problem. I'm kind of upset right now though, because range keeps going in and out, like someone's turning the pot while I'm driving it. I guess I'll return it and see what happens.
