not neccesarily,

If they were fried you would not be able to turn at all

The reason you cannot counter steer is because of the poorly designed steering system

The servo is puching the steering rod one way or another, then the steering rod puchs the knucle one way or another. if the car is straight u will notice the shaft inside the knucle wil move and will differ the turning radius try this and ull see what i mean

Turn ur car and remote on
hold the car in one hand
u can move the wheel even tho the knucle and steering rod is not moving.

just to show how poor the steering was designed

i have a problem

2day i just put in my lighting kit and new bearings when every was in and i started to drive it , it didn't feel the same speed like befo i put that stuff in, so does any1 no any solutions for this problem if so plzz post the A.S.A.P thankz

hm.... try fresh batteries, and if that doesnt work something not in correctly
