i have a problem similar to this i turn on my xmod (evo btw) and when i accelerat with my controller nuthing happens but when i reverse the xmod starts to work did i fry something or is it the controller
edit ** okay its not my controller its the xmod or the motor my guess would be the motor becuase i put the red wire ( the one that determines if u pull your controller trigger if it will go forward or reverse) into both holes and both the holes work fine BUT the black wire needs to be connected as well for the motor to run. so i think that the blackwire is just burnt out or something becuase if it was my xmod than one of the holes wouldnt work.
p.s. how i got this problem was because i had a 5th cell installed and another extra 5th cell touched the wires by the motor . the motor did a couple of spins until i took it off and when i tried to accelerate after it didnt work

I did this with an evo. This is not a motor problem, both wires have to work for current to go through it, therefore, if it goes reverse, it is not your problem.
You have to isolate the only variables that could cause current in one direction and not the other. You said you were messing with a second 5th cell, does this mean you were running 6?
In my evo, I managed to fry the forward conducting FET. Everything worked accept forward, and I'm guessing that was your problem.
