Same name cool!
Thanks for your thoughts on my mounting. So did you get a chance to take a look at my mod so far??? What did you think???
I'm really itching for some feed back!
I'll have better pics when it's done. I hope to finish it this weekend although...I'm still waiting on a new left rear axil from RS.

My dads is blue with a silver hood so i might model it after my dads. my dad wants a 300zx twin turbo and a blue 350z....but only in his dreams..lol...

Oh yeah...you're going to love this!
I've done it!!! I've finally found a way to mount "model" bodies more securely, cheaper, and no valcro! The best part is it will work for any body and no matter what you have for a ride it will always be and never unless of course that's what you want...it's all up to you. Four simple drilled holes in the chassis of "any" Xmod, eight Xmod screws, and of course the multi function special ingrediant that makes the whole thing in one word SWEEEEEEEEET!!!! I will have my Porche 911 done by this coming weekend. I want it to be perfect before I let everyone see it again. I have also been taking notes and pictures and will put up a whole new thread called "mounting the right way...no valcro!"...or something close to that. Anyway it will be posted by me "josh350zman" or "350ZMan" on Xmodworld.com and I will have all the photoes posted on my website where the current picture is. Oh yes...I will be the Xmod God of body mounting!!! However I can't take all the credit as my brother-in-law other wise known as "supraz" is also in on the gig and he will be doing a Dotsun 510...soon to come. Body mounting slightly different, but same concept! Stay tuned!!!

I know I'm not the first...
I realize that other people have found ways to mount there model bodies securely, but I believe my method is unique. Show me your pics and when my pics are done...we can compare. I'm not even saying my way is the easiest way. All I know is that it works for full contact racing and it's cheap. Itr does take some work and some talent, but doesn't anyhting that works well???

Can you shorten the Xmod chassis on your blue Z to make it fit better?

Here it is...
This is just an early picture when I was making the mounting template out of plastic tubing. Still waiting for material to make the some of my final adjustments and the real mounting is metal tubing. Works great...so sturdy you can run it into a wall full bore even with the plastic moutns and it's fine!
