I have brought this up and it was determined that there is already an events section in the main forum, that is where any post should be made concerning races, events, etc.
The events section in the main forum prevents the congestion of having an events section in each sub forum. There just enough threads in each section to justify an entire forum in itself.

YOU JINXED IT!! damn, if you cant make sub categories n stuff just make one for each region.. like East side and West side of the USA.. please it will bring people there to discuss one subject, instead of having to search though old posts because no one replied to it. dB, as a matter of fact, I found the people I have so far around my city by posting in the MSG board.. so IDK what you're talking about, but its just stupid what you're saying. That forum helped me find more people in my city, and since this site is bigger, it would make more of a difference.

mini, 36871536171561436815436534650316513654054 different posts about some 11 year old starting a "Wikidd h0T ><m0I) " racing club is not what I would consider helpful. Crap like that divides information. Not to menton the amount of ignorameouses that are barely literate and insist on posting challenges like "my kar klub will beet ur gei xmodz klub". If you enjoy stuff like that and actually find it useful, then knock your self out.

well...
couldn't such a thing be avoided by posting a sticky of the rules for that particular category? of course, the area would be moderated, so...
anyway, if such a thing were to get off the ground, i'd like to make the suggestion that each person posting information about their club include a personalized version of a generic search phrase, so that users could more easily locate clubs in the area... something like:
#city, state car club# (with both pound signs included)
at the very top of the post, so for example, for my club in Miami, i'd open with:
#miami, florida car club# (note that i didn't substitute the "car club")
this way you could do a search for car clubs in miami by searching for the exact phrase: "#miami, florida car club#"
the only other thing is, some cities, like miami, are huge. it doesn't help the system having areas like kendall and cutler ridge that could differentiate communities within the same city, so i say limit the search phrase to include only the entire city's name...
HOWEVER... if BC disagrees with the necessity of this new forum, then, might i suggest this system be instituted within the general forum?
oh and hey here's an idea that came just now... if anyone wants to announce races, they can use #city, state race# in a search phrase...
and mini, ol' crewmate, don't take this the wrong way... i'm behind you, but if the mod says no, this is another path...

Yea, I totally understand. BC, I'm just saying it would be nice if we could get East side and West side, if you feel there is no need for this section, then so be it.
I totally understand about that "Wikkid )(mo])" thing.. lol that made me laugh, posts like that just get me more angry. With a moderator monitoring such useless posts (such as BC), this wouldn't happen.
BC, its all up to you. If you don't like this idea, then its ok with me and hopefully with everyone else.
