Painting
I have used dupli color, and krylon with great results.. I have even used the dupli color chameleon on my 1/10 th r/c's
Testors is a great brand but doesn't hold up as well when impacted. I had the whole front end come off of a slot car, looked like I lost the front clip on a countach.. HO scale..
If your paint is wrinkling up then you have a lacquer based paint going over enamel or arcylic paint,, this never works.. sand or strip your xmod body down to the bare plastic.. then paint with the lacquer, also known as R/c paint not the new acrylic stuff the old type paint was lacquer based to stick to the lexan bodies better and allowed flex...

Honestly, you're not going to get really good results out of any cheap airbrush. I personallt wasn't getting great stuff until I moved up to my Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS, which was about $125.00. Plus, the cheap airbrush kits come with canned air, which is pretty useless, as it loses pressure as it is used up, making it impossible to get consistent results.
