how good are they compared to your over Lander shocks cause a good suspension is one of the most important things in a car, and really important in a rally car that we are both trying to build. They look good people in the overlander forum where complaining that the plastic shocks on the overlander started to break after some use. Being that these are metal maybe they will handle better also are you sure that they are oil because some I have been reading aren’t and that they use grease instead and they really suck.

Tiny wont get mad about that link only if you are doing advertising on it

i personally think that they are better than both the stock overland shocks and and the gpm oil overland shocks. i dont know how you plan on using the shocks though. please reply and show what you plan to do, maybe we can combind our efforts to get this all done better and faster. if you want to chat with me all of my chat info is listed. for what i plan to do with the oil damper i cant use the overland ones cause they are alittle short.

got my oil damper on

just installed it and it works perfect, i left the spring on to add extra tension if i need it, but right now it has no pressure on the system

Gotta love translators

ok ok Im new to this board but not to the sport. I whipped out my translator on that page with the pimped out mini-x.

These are the specs I found out.
-motor m's motor hand wound
-front body post dtm x4
-motor mount dtm x4 conversion
- tamiya mini-4wd parts (hehehe Im workin on a project so I wont reveal what parts they are)
-li-ion 7.2 600ma
-2mm carbon chassis
-shocks are GPM mini-z shocks
The creator was uio from taiwan.

So far Im workin on a chasis design. and all the parts and part number through local big dealers (Tower hobbies mainly) on what to use. On the motor mount IM not sure if I can get that seperate or if a modified HPI will work. so far conversion ( minus chassis) is under 20$. Great deal if I might add. On my version of the chassis Im lookin at tc3 style (haha I loved that car, but hey racing motorcycles is more fun than lil cars ) and on the chassis cuttin Im havin question..... I mean I know I could cut it on my friend's million dollar laser (could bust out some serious numbers then) but unsure on how much flex I should have in the chassis and stuff like that. So Im lookin for ideas on cutouts in the chassis. Also should I set the batteries low in the chassis to allow for lower cg? should I make the motor sit lower too? LOL these are all problems Im lookin at. right now on batteries I have located some .67x1.14 1000ma 1.2. Im lookin to run 4 side by side style on the left side of the frame. Currently runnin stock receiver and a lrp quantum with reverse (small and dependable so far- Always LRP when I run r/c). so any ideas you have (If you can in english please) email me on question or pics of the drawings so far for chassis design. email Me

want a 4WD racer (cheap)

I am very new to the bigger RC cars, i have bits, and i want to know if there is a site which sells the mini-x with the transmitter and all the other stuff needed to run it. These RTR kits are very misleading becuz they are not technically RTR i still have to BUY other junk that i dont know about . I like the mini-z and the fact that all i have to buy is batteries. Is there no where i can buy a mini-x like this. (I too like rally and am thinking of buying the mini-z WRX but I WANT 4WD DAMMIT )

Thanx
P.S I'll even concider buying one 2nd hand if eed be

Look on ebay. There is a guy on there selling ready to run cars that include everything, even a 5 cell battery pack for the car, for about $100. The only things left to buy are batteries for the transmitter, a charger, and paint for the body.

I have purchased one rtr and several chassis from him. He seems to be reliable and ships them pretty fast too.

Not sure if it's proper forum etiquite to post links to other merchants but if you do an ebay search for "mini z x" his cars will come up.

I just did an ebay search and found his cars. I noticed he no longer includes the transmitter in the auction price so it will cost a little more. There is also another seller selling these cars on ebay but he is including a mini-z transmitter which does not always work correctly with the mini-x.
