You can go to those Japanese stores and buy a Bit Racer motor. Comes with both 6 and 7 tooth pinion. You can also get 2.2, 2.6, or 3.0.

Go to K-Mart (if you can) and look for Hotwheels KIT Racers, possibly in the clearance isle.
I haven't found the individual packs of accessories, but I just bought three complete cars for $4.80 each!
That's how I collected those rears, and have wheels leftover to mod with MS gearsets. The Tomy motors, 2.2 and 2.6 ain't half bad either considering everything else you get with them!

Yeah, I got those colors. I meant the cannonball, because I've never seen one before.
And oh yeah, Custom gear sets rule!

The one I bought back in November from Checker's had white gears. The 2 cars I bought yesterday and today have blue gears the same shade as the 12:1 in the Zip Zaps.
I saw a K.I.T. racer at Toys 'R' Us. It was on the clearance shelf, but wasn't marked. They wanted to charge me $9 for it. I was like nevermind. They're real bad about that and the clearance shelf. They have a bunch of damaged Cannonball clones on that shelf marked $9.99, but they ring up at $13.99. They cashier yesterday gave me a little hassle, but gave up easy enough. The cashier today made me take her to show her the shelf where it was clearly marked, "Cannonball Mini RC $9.99" She says, "That's a mistake", and rips it off. I told her it was clearly damaged, so how is she expecting to charge me full price for a damaged item. She said fine, she'd give it to me, but I'm thinking in my head, "You aint giving me nothin' be-och. Chargeing more than the price marked is price gouging and illegal."
Sorry for that rant. Just irritated me. That's fine. I have a enough Cannonball clones. I just wanted the chargeing bases.

That's too hard. Just get an exacto knife and shave the little plastic bump off the right side of the car. I'll take a pic when I get home. It's a perfect fit.
