Yes, CF is lighter, WAY lighter than the stock parts.

I think i already asked this but how thick do you make your chassis Zero?

The shop sets the prices, but I beleive that they are going to sell it for close if not the same price as the original. Now the Silver, that's a totally different subject and I can't answer that one.

CF is very light and the v1.5 addresses some hardware issues in that the stand-offs are shorter to minimize weight further. Don't know if it's any lighter then the stock, but it is very rigid, and that's what counts

BTW, the Silver has Nylon Stand-offs!!

Blah,

Here's the lowdown, every time I change the existing program, it costs about $50 bucks, every time I run just 6 pieces it drives the cost up $15 or so per unit, so if you want a custom chassis it would be in the neighborhood of 50+(6*15)+Existing shop prices for the chassis of (6*55)

I don't see how it would be a reasonable choice for one person, but if a club or group had something they wanted run and could get about 12-14 people, it wouldn't be as bad. When you get close to 50 sets, the cost increase is negligible, just pay for the additional programming fee....

This is only for the existing v1.5 chassis, not new products. That is a totally different matter.

One more time, I don't due the rear decks as other's have them.

If you want a one-off, you need somebody who's willing to do it by hand. Everything I do is professionally CnC'd by a shop that specializes in RC car chassis's. Can't speak for the rest

Z

I just got my silver Tex chassis! Zero, this is a top notch product. I am very, very impressed. Every detail is accounted for.

I do have a question though. I am using 2 lithium cells that I lightly epoxied to the chassis. They fit perfectly on the chassis, but now that the rear deck and stock battery holders are gone, what do you recommend for mounting the antenna? I thought about mounting another nylon standoff in about the same location as factory mount. I figured that with all the detail you put into this you have probably ran into this before.

If this question has already been asked I apologize. I didn't see it.

Thanks again for a superb product.
