Metal bearing=dirty easily too?

hi all. i wanted to know was if these metal bearing get hair and nasty little things stuck in it easily. with the plastic yellow bearing i have right now, evertime i take off my wheel, its covered in nasty black stuff. i dont think metal bearings with nasty black stuff will help alot.

basically, im on a 20 dollor xmods mod budget. since bearings cost that much, i was wondering if i should get them. or should i get suspension and tires instead?

The bearings really are worht it...it makes your car much quieter and you will actually feel the difference in how the car runs. As for the balck stuff. I had that happen at first to...but the reason for that , i think, is that the factory put a lubricating grease on and in those yelloe plastic bushings. When you get the bearings, i would suggest you de-grease them, then lubricate them with powdered graphite. I got mine at home depot for like $2. Oce you de-grease them and put the powdered graphite in them...you hardly ever get that black crap in your bearings. I also really like the fact that your car is much quieter and just sounds super smooth

I'll have to go look for this powedered graphite. I have cats in the house and amount of cat hair that accumulates in the wheels and bearings is rediculous.

uh, no. gunk make car slow and junk. slow car= scrap.

As far as the plasic bushing vs. Metal bearing, I blew my freind away. same motor and all....but i had the metal bearings. but as far as an actual test, nope. have not done that. I think I should do that though, would settle a lot of arguments...
