I'm far from an expert but my bit(Tomy bit char-g)stock was slow. Comparable to my zip stock. I put a 3.0 in my bit and yeah it's fast and fun to play with but that motor has no place on track. I don't know about the rest of you but for me speed is secondary.

I know! 10,000 motor on mine, pretty sad.
I like to start comparing these things with price. I believe you get more for the money with Zips! $20 vs. $30, SO when Target dropped the Microsizers to $20 that was the big equalizer on my BOOK.
SO at the same prize, What do you get? A crappy controller on the Bit. big Buttons that CLICK! and antena that is really a WIRE?
Really cheap! My target Microsizer out of the box I slap some batteries and when I FLIP the on button it snapped inside?!?! Great!!! returned it and got a Raincheck from Target!

Zip controllers is not all that but at least you get a REAL antena. and I believe that the controllers are easily modifiable. better nobs and a longer antena with things you find at home. like and old radio ETC.

As far as the cars? What's with the BIG hole on the rear window on the BITS??? Other than that the car is OK. Parts have to be mail ordered or bought at a local hobby shop! $$$

Zips are not bad either, parts are easily found at your local radio Shack The only drawback I see on the Zips are the tires. The rubber tires are manufactured poorly, as a result you get uneven tires, that don't sit properly on the rims. Bit tires HUG the rim nicely.

just my 2 cents

The only thing I

well microsizers must suck compared to their clones then cuz the one im runnin right now handles better than a zip and is a lot faster. it goes straight and turns evenly in both directions. i think the zipzaps are good for a little kid who does not want to tinker too much with their stuff.

the thing is that microsizers(bits) are better, im not discriminating but thats just the way it is.......i have zip zaps too but when i got my bit..i noticed that zip zaps werent all that great...The bit controller is by far better than the zip zap controller.....(zip controllers are very uncomfortable...) and the "real" antenna on zip zaps range is veyr bad. My 27mhz bit goes faster than my zip zpa anyday. I think the long antenna on bits are better(though they swing which is stupid) than the normal zip antenna. Hogjowlz, the bit char-g is way better than their cloen counterparts its just that some of the people are stretching the truth about the cons of a microsizer. MOst clones have high torque motors which can be used in your zips and bits(sometimes!!!) but the bit is highly upgradeable and can be made faster. Zip Zaps are good and all but with as slow as the zips are with their fastest(RS) motor. They should just stick to racing other zips. No dont get me wrong i wasnt arguing or starting anything, i was just stating my opinion.

yea but who races stock bits?! in real life who races a normal 4cylnder ford focus against a ferrari. Clones are good but the reason they earned their name as clones is because they arnt the best.

its called a clone because it is a knockoff of the original. the chassis and circuitry are almost identical. the major difference i can see is i payed half and have a nicer controller with better range.

ive never seen a picture of a bit without the ugly antenna sticking out the top. they handle much much better without.

and the bits are better big time for a guy who has about 10 clone chasis' laying around with torn apart parts and things, I know what s better, the clones are cheap(sadly to say) the circutry is the same but they cant use all bit motors. Get a real bit. and i wont carry on this conversation any longer because this is a zip zap forum.

Point taken but everything you mention is easily modded on the Zips...

the "real" antena is for kids....men take a longer antena from an old radio and swap it.
the control is not unconfortable?!?! Add a knob MOD and take the clear cover off...DONE!

To get the same effect on a bit you have to remove the antena wire and drill a whole on the case, and I haven't seen any mod for the knobs, I'm sorry but those "Click square buttons??" if anything says cheap on the bits is That!

I still like the tires on the Bits!

These types of arguments can go on forever. It's just like the Microsoft - Macintosh argument. They both do the same thing, but others feel there OS is better then the other. It's a winless battle. It's not like we're fighting over Kashmir.

IMO Zips suck out of the box. But compared to some clones, so do Bits. This is why people love Mod'ing. What car is my favorite for mod'ing? That's a no brainer. The ZipZap leaves you more room, the heat-sink screws down and that added little length makes for much better control. You can throw way more power behind the Zips then you can the Bits and still control them farely well without the need for tape and other tire modifications. I hate Radio Shack and can't wait for the Zips to have clones of their own. I'm crossing my fingers these Sharper Image clones are just as good as zips without the crappy PCB. If so, I'll be answering this thread with they both suck. I need the ZZ type length! I throw way too much power in these bad boys to have it suffer in a Bit size chassis.

I agree. These are arguments based on opinion. They are meaningless and prove nothing. Any of the many brands of cars can be modified in countless ways. These useless threads go on and on. Over and over again. Ad infinitem, ad nausium. It comes down to what YOU prefer, and what YOU are willing to try in the way of modding. I'm beginning to wonder if some have bought these toys to play with or to argue about. Which are you spending the most time doing? And, as usual, the spotty one is right. You're drawing lines in the sand over a 20 dollar toy!

You are missing the point here...These don't have to be "My car is better than yours arguments".
I like to see these as I don't like the car because of this. and because of that
NOTHING personal..

If someone complains about something about theirs car, maybe someone else knows how to FIX it.

This is what it's all about I didn't know this and I will Try it on my BIT. I'm looking for solutions and I'll provide solutions when I can.

Some guy complained about the ZZ controller I told him how he can FIX it so he can enjoy his car.

Again I'm looking for constructive arguments.

I didn't take anything personally. Nor should you. And you are right, they don't have to be what you describe. It's just that they so often are. But, alas, this is indicative of mankind in general. We all feel the need to find some modicum of superiority. Even if it is at the level of 20 dollars worth of plastic.
And again, I agree, you can gleen a little information, but you have to wade through a lot of fertilizer to find it. Btw, the switches themselves on my clones are the source of the clicking, so this mod may not work. But, they aren't true Bits or Microsizers so I could be wrong.
