how do you make plastic flexible? putty makes very smooth transitions from plastic to putty that are inivisible with paint.

well, plastic r always flexible just depends on which kind u use. the 1 i use is from my bit char-g case(the clear plastic that holds the bit) . well i find that very useful. ill post pics of my plastic bodykited rx-7 when im done, all i need now is black pactra paint.

you mean lexan right? thats the stuff 1/10 rc cars use for bodies because it flexes and is able to absorb impacts.

Putty

was ist los?,

I'm trying to picture what you did...

I assume you placed the putty on the body then molded/sculpted it to the way you want. Let it harden, sanded it smooth and then painted. Correct?
The putty is on the body the whole time, right?

Also, what brand of putty did you use?

I've been wanting to make body kits for my Bits. After seening yours, I'm really inspired!

i feel so good that i have inspired some of you guys
DriveWRX: that is exactly what i did for my other body kits, but on this one, the front one came off so i had to glue it on after it hardened. then i sanded it. make sure not to have too much putty behind the body in the front, sides, or rear, or you will be unable to put back on the body. i used milliput epoxy putty(only one the store had). im sure any epoxy putty will do.
