I have a terribly embarrassing problem. Today I went out and bought a battery pack from the LHS. It was a
PMR and looked good. I brought it home and it zapped my ESC. It popped and smoked and of course does not run anymore. Here are the specs:
7.2 volt 1100mah 6 cell battery just out of the package - I never charged it.
DId I fry it cause its 1100mah? I didn't think it would be to much - just give longer run times. If so please feel free to verbally smack me around. :-) Or was it the ESC? Next is a new ESC. I'm smart enough to guess buying another stock ESC to use with this battery is money down a rat hole. Any suggestions on a new ESC for someone without a whole lot of sodering experience and keeping it cheap. If I choose to keep the battery I don't want to go through another ESC.
Oh and can I get this all repaired before 3pm when my wife comes home and asks me what I did with my day!:-)
