I had some time to kill after work so I stopped by Big lots again. WOW! They had all kinds of new sets with bodies that are perfect for ZZs. I ended up getting 12 bodies for $3. Of those,
5 will fit on a ZZ with very little work:
Police car
Porsche
Ambulance (van)
Ambulance (big one)
Hummer
4 will fit with a little more work:
Limo
Tow Truck
2 bottom vehicles in the military pack (they each have 4 wheels in the back)
3 won't work without a LOT of work (too much for me to try):
Red emergency vehicle (SUV)
Fire Truck
2nd military truck
They all will need to be painted, but they have some good detail and are nice and light. Even if I only end up modding the 5 easy ones, that makes them $0.60 each

All the pics are with very little to zero modding - I just took some pics of them on/near the chassis so you could see how close they are out of the box.
I really want to do the limo - I might work on that this weekend. Paint it black, put a little detailing on it...should be cool. I thought maybe I'd make the police car:

The other thing I got was a school bus for $2:

The width is perfect, but unfortunately, the distance between the front and back wheels is fairly large. I'm not sure how to approach this. I do not want to modify my ZZ chassis. I thought about cutting the bus down to make it shorter (make it a "short bus ") but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

Just for fun, I thought about doing something like ToddC did and put a bunch of pimped out cars in front of it with my Homies and take a picture. Ahhhh....high school

The body is made of metal so it's too heavy, but the tires are made of rubber and I figured there would be some parts I could use. I should be able to use the engine for my JL Baja Bug:

Anyway, I spent $6 and got 12 bodies, a school bus with lots of extras, and a monster VW bug. Not bad.
