Here is my new track. I'm a newbie, but pretty resourceful. Since it's a few weeks past election time, I gathered several 4x8 coroplast election signs. I cut a pair into 4x4 panels. Used rubberizing spray paint in a can, normally used for painting handles on tools to give a rubberized texture.
Used gaffers tape, or bookbinding tape, to put down the test guardrails made of coroplast. During testing, realized that the rails weren't quite high enough, so I mounted each rail on several 1"x1" squares of coroplast. Painted some of the rail areas with OHSA orange paint. Made one fold in the center of the 8 foot long track.
I'm using Nakamichi cars in the turbo mode, and they're responding really great. I just decided that I didn't want to spend a fortune on getting 2 Char-g cars up to a the Nakamichi speed, and then having one faster than the other. My two Nakamichi racers are exactly the same speed level and quality, so it will be more of a test of skill than who's spent more on the cars.
I forgot, but I'll go back and put some small "stepping stones" for when the track is inside of the house, and people want to walk through.
For a table, I'm using plastic nesting garbage cans, as you can see in the pictures. I can also easily just put this on the floor of the living room.
I tried ramps, but the short jumping capability, combined with the high antennae, make for a difficult course, especially when the charge is running low.
