Some research.

I picked up a 1/64 semi-tractor and wanted to find out who made it. The US Patent number 4,563,626 was issued in 1984, so that was useless.

The FCC ID number QKX680 got me useful info. Go here https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/c...ericSearch.cfm and enter QKX in the Grantee Code box and 680 in the Product Code box. Scroll down and click Start Search. (Leaving out the product code gets 9 products.)

That got two entries for Golden Technology Electronic Toys Ltd. If you're interested in the electronics of the transmitters, click on Details. (Curiously, both listings are for a round transmitter, not the oval one that came with the truck.)

Armed with the company name, some more searching turned up www.gt-toys.com which has gone 404. According to Web Archive the site last existed in Februrary 2006.

So it looks like if I want more of these cheap semi-tractors, I'd better grab them now!
