hey ppl. i have a skyline that only has the AWD kit added to it. when i drive it, the car stalls a lot. when you try to move backwards or forwards, you can hear a slight hum telling you that its trying to move but it cant. i thought it was dirt on the gears or the tires catchin on the body or maybe even the gears not meshing properly.
i removed the body and checked all the yellow bearing things. (sorry, i dont know the tehcnical terms for all these parts). they are all clean. the gears are all clean too. i even added extra lube. a weird sound from the back gears can be heard. it sounds like the gears grinding or something. or my skyline is messed up again. (this is my second one).
so i got it all ready for exchange again. i tested it out before i exchanged it, now its fine!!!
you guys got any idea why the AWD acts like this? i still dont know what could be causing this. my best guess is the back gears getting suck on each other. could it be a bad AWD kit? maybe if i get the stage 2 motors that may fix it?
