Question how many volts can they take

Hey guys, I was wondering how many volts can a stock Xmod handle? I've already hooked up my 7.2v battery pack from my Micro RS4 but that left it a little bit top heavy and it rolls over quite easily at the speeds it is acheiving. I'm wanting to balance out the sides so it has some leaway. I may slant the batteries (like a - camber) making it wider. The picture is my idea if they can hold 14.4 volts.
