My Car doesn't work!

I bought my second Xmod yesterday (my first "NIB" Xmod- or so I thought), and noticed when i got home that it had been opened before and someone had taped the outer plastic wrapping back on the box . I continued with assembly and put the 2-stage motor in before i even put the batteries in. While still waiting on the batteries, i put together the Skyline body. Before I put the body on the chassis, i noticed that the included crystals were on channel 2, not 1, as stated on the box, and the car antenna was missing . This seems pretty consistent with the tape on the outside of the box. Today I went back to the RS where i picked it up, and explained it to them and they gave me a free antenna. After getting a hold on new AAA's and a 9 volt, I tried to get the car going. So i turn on the remote, then the car and couldn't get any response from it when I used the remote! The front wheels barely moved when i turned the car on (just like my previous one) so i thought it might be a problem with the radio. I decided to Swap the crystals with my older radio and still couldn't get any movement out of the car with the different radio. I'm going to get my money back from Radio Shack tomorrow, and probably end up getting a used one with extras off of eBay or something .
