Solder???
Howdy all,
I'm begining my adventure into making my first R/C totally from scratch. I'm going to build a 1/25th scale model of my full size F250 Ford Pickup. I pretty well have it all worked up and thought out. I know it could all change once I start building but atleast I have something to keep me on track. Well my question for you all is what type of solder should I use?? My back ground is electronics so I know the type of solder used in that type of application. I know this type of solder is strong but would it work here?? And I know of Pipe solder for brass pipe but I don't think it will work good here as it has acid in it. The reason you don't use it in electronics. And I know a little of Silver Solder cause I use to use it when repairing antique clocks and watchs. But I'm not sure of where to get it in large amounts and if I remember right it's rather expensive. So any help you all could give me would be great. Also any advice you can give about building this project would be great too. Thanks for any help you give me. Later
