max voltage is ???????????? read on true believers!!
I've hears so much crap about the max voltage on these cars. Truth is nobody knows until one gets toasted in a true test. Somebody said that it kicks off a protection circuit at 8.4V, which is completely FALSE because I am running 6 Rayovac IC3s each tested to the nearest hundreth volt at 1.45V each, which gives us a total of 8.7V and mine has not fried, tripped a breaker or done anything weird except that the heatsink gets pretty darned hot and the steering is twitchy for a second or two after the car is turned on. I wish people would quit posting false statements (are you happy BC?? LOL)!!
