While I was waiting for the paint to dry on my Gunmetal Skyline, I decided to do the upgrades on the chassis. One of the extras I did was to make a skid plate for the bottom.
I used some #255 aluminum (.016" thick) I found at the hobby store. I made all of my measurements and cut it with some regular scissors. I then used a file to round and smooth the edges. I used a hand drill to cut out a slot for the switch and drill the 2 holes for the screws to hold it. I used the 2 screws on either side of the switch to attach the skid plate.
I left the plate short of the rear so I had access to the body tab/hook and lock. I can still remove the batteries by only removing the upper clips and just pull them out.
