Talking Spend $40 on ZipZaps/FF kit OR on Microsizers/BitCharge Accessories

Hello everyone !! I am new to the board, and ever since I got my first Toyota Celica (Black) Microsizer I have been hooked to the TINY RC world. And now I am here to ask everyone a question.

I am planning to get a ZipZap and a FF Tuner Kit (with Eclipse body), just because how cool the ZipZaps FF bodies look. But a friend of mine purchased a ZipZap with a stock motor and he claims his car is slower compared to my stock Microsizer. And all the posts at ZipZaps the general complaint seems to be how slow ZipZaps are. But are they really that slow ? (I haven't seen both side by side).

I could truly spend the $40 on my microsizer by getting a different body, tires, suspension etc.

But I am not sure what to do..

Get the ZipZap/FF kit or just spend the $40 on the microsizer ? Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

PS. I am suprised how rare the FF Kits and some of the cooler ZipZap model cars are getting. The two Radio Shack's close to me are SOLD out. I tried ordering some of the RadioShack website..operator tells me they are all SOLD out. :-P
