feedback from pullback owners
ok i know theres several posts on pullbacks but i want a summary of how they are.
first how are the bodies compared to the bits? identical? cheaper?
wheels? is the axle diameter the same as bits? tires?
any other useful parts?
anyhow i just ordered one from ebay for 6bucks with 4bucks shipping and 3bucks for the money order and postage. are they worth 13bucks?
please dont answer with "well i read on this message board that they do this or have that". i want opinions from people who actually have them.

The wheels are nice and fat and sticky(soft), I am not sure about converting them to bits, I haven't tried YET. However it would be in a best interest to convert them and they would be awesome for getting rid of wheel spin.
All I know is I got a supra and the rims were NOT 5 stars, which dissapointed me. I also payed about 13 bucks for mine.
The body was a black supra and as far as I can tell it is identical. Althought the Bit supras look like trash so I am going to sell the body.

Re: feedback from pullback owners
What's up hog- I'll try and answer your queries as best I can;
RE: first how are the bodies compared to the bits? identical? cheaper?
Easy one, They're identical to the Bits
RE: wheels? is the axle diameter the same as bits? tires?
The axel diameter is exactly the same... it's a bit shorter than the Bits. If you intend on using the wheels on the bit, you'll be srappin' the axel anyhow and trimming the Bit axel about 1/8th inch to fit properly.
Tires; Smaller diameter as compared to the Bits, super soft and extra wide.
RE: any other useful parts?
No, not really... that I'VE found a use for.
Honestly I didn't and probably wouldn't pay $13 bucks for it. *shrug

ya the main reason i did it was for the 2000gt-r body. my car runs like a muscle car so it should look like one huh?
i have a drift axle(which is pointless to me) so ill swap the pullback wheels onto it and see if i like. my buddy has a bunch of taps and punches and vices so im sure the wheel surgery should go fairly easily.
has anyone successfully transplanted front wheels from a pullback yet?

Pie; The problem being is that unlike the 'Bit Racer' axel, the pullbacks gear is in the center of the axel. Plus being a shorter axel already, as compared to the Bit axel, it's not possible to fit it in the stock location.
BTW sweet deal on the PB (pullbacks)

Yep that's what I used my useless drift axel for too, now it's a 'Drag axel'.
RE: has anyone successfully transplanted front wheels from a pullback yet?
Yes I did, you've basically got the idea with the taps and vise... just be super careful. I slipped and put a nasty gouge in one of them.
Good Luck

thx kwibb!
i found that to smack the front wheels out of the knuckles, it's actually Very simple...
you know the holes in the controller for the screws? grab a hammer, and a really thin nail or Thick paper clip, put the knuckle on there so that the wheel presses on the hole (in a way that the pin can fall into the hole) and just bash away at the back of the pin with the nail...

i suppose it's gonna be like putting STICKIES on the front, allowing quicker and tighter turning... but the back must be equally sticky, or the car is simply gonna spin out..
i would actually suggest Bit tires/rims on the front, because the narrower the tire, the better the cornering, with the possible exception of loss of grip....
you will notice that most extremely high powered street cars have narrower tires in the front than in the back.. even the FF(front engine, front wheel drive) cars have quite narrow tires on the front for better handling, trading off acceleration.

No problem, I don't know about the rims though... I got 1) R32 and 1) R34 and they had the same 5 spoke black, bad arse rims?
