i've seen a custom made RC thats made from a diecast model of a Smart car. That thing ran with 2 motors. one control one of the front wheel, the other control the opposite side of the rear wheel. and thats how it turns and stuff.

I think the iRacer Japanees site list it at 1/120 scale.
Have seen the video from the site and is intersting.
The Germans run trucks compitition at 1/87. There was a thread around here a month or so back. Oh Faller a German comapny have some battery powered 1/87 scale truck and busses. Use a magnet to detect a burried wire to drive around a HO city layout. With some mods could be adapted to R/C with proabbly little effort.

Thats probably the smallest R/C.
I kept a couple of images because I was surprised of its size.

That's nothing
Once, I saw in a book, it showed different kinds of cars. There was a small VW Bug (old style) with a wire attached to it. But the car was, believe it or not, THE SIZE OF A MATCH HEAD!!!!!!!! It's no joke. When I go to the library I'll search for it.
