Project V (56K warning)
Hey all. I'm kinda newb to X-Mods, but I wanted to tell everyone about my project I'm working on. It's the new 2003 Corvette, and I'm goin to paint it, li-ion it, maybe put a SB Hybrid in it, but that would require new FETs, and some other stuff. I don't have any pics yet, but I will be posting soon, seing as how I just got photoshop . Post any ideas for it, if you have any!

If you are going to do a SB hybrid you don't need to upgrade your FETs, that stock ones can take it. Also you should center the servo, if need be, get bearings and lighten the whole car. Looking forward to those pictures.

really....kewl i didn't know the stock FETs could handle that motor. O.K. Then i most likely will do it! I also have the RS Metal bearing upgrade, CL underglow light kit ( I might return them, since I haven't used them yet). I'm goin to paint my vette red with 2 black stripes down the center, and I might hinge the hood. I already shaved off the mirrors, because I hated them. I have the body kit, but I'm not sure which once I should put on: Should I use the spoiler or not, stock hood or the one in the kit, and which skirts and bumpers to use. I currently have some of the kit on it, and I will probably take them off and put on the others ( skirts, and bumpers). That would mean i would have to take off the spoiler though, but oh well. well.....I gotta go to class right now, but I might take some pics when i get home, and then post them up for ya'll to see.....

Just in case nobody noticed, or wondered what happened to my mirrors, I sanded them down, because I always broke them, and I didn't like them! Belt sanders can be very useful!

yes it is unfortunate...doesnt do the corvette justice...but you could lower the whole front with a dremel..and a little skill...

Key word there is skill, and when it comes to a dremel, I have none! I might be able to find someone though who could help me. What all would I have to do?
Racinskillz101- I'm most likely goin with red and a couple of strpies like you suggested, but I want to take back my underglow kit, but my mom won't let me now that i've put it on my car! Oh well, i guess it'll have to do for a while. I'm goin to change the bumpers to the ones that i circled in the pic. They'll look nicer, seeing as how they don't have as many dents/scrathces in them as the ones on it do now, and the tailpipes are acctually strait!....I'm hoping to get the paint this weekend, so I'll hopefully be able to start that. then I want to stiffen up the back springs, I'll either double up springs, or just use the ones that come with the RS kit. Once I'm done with that, I'll either li-ion it, or go with the SB Hybrid......but, until then, I'm stuck with what it is now....a semi-wreck, not unique piece of plastic that doesn't go that fast!

O.K. I tried to the front end, but after hours of relentles trying, I found my problem. My steering servo hits my windshield. Here's some pics
BEFORE-
AFTER-
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS-
I can get it on pretty far, but not far enough-
I'm gonna work on that later tonight with a friend though, so hopefully we can get it straightened out so it will work....just in case we can't though, post some ideas of how we could get it to work....
BTW- I learned the hard way that exacto knives are sharp....
