Anyway, basically what you are doing is cutting a notch in a steel butter knife, sliding it between the brass pinion and the motor case, and taking a hammer and whacking the little metal nub that pertrutes out of the brass pinion further down...this pushes the arm out of the pinion a little, and loosens it from the glue/weld a little. Then, you take a knife or screwdriver and push the rest out....there you go, easy pinion pulling...
