Will having crappy no name brand batteries make the car slower. My car right sometimes wont move at all and other times is very very weak and cant puch the weight.

yes. Rayovac & Radioshack are the worst alkalines that ive tried. use Energizer or Duracell if you're going to use alkalines. best rechargables are Rayovac Ic3s is what everyone has said but i use the RS XMOD rechargeable batts and they work great.

i'm using rayovac 1-c3s in my mini-z, if you have a little extra cash they are really worth it.
