Custom S2000 w/CF hood (link to pics)

Still a work in progress but I figured I'm far enough into it to show it to the people at TinyRC.

Here are the current specs:

-MicroSizer Sport 49mhz chassis
-Custom Silver Painted body with imatation CF hood (made with black paper)
-Perfection 4.2PRO motor
-Perfection Black heatsink
-Perfection 200mah battery
-Super-Soft rear tires (come stock with MS's), Hard ribbed front tires (painted black with permanent marker).

Here is what I plan on doing in the near future:

-Stage 2 MOSFETS from MicroAmps
-Internal Dual Cell w/200mah
-More detail painting on the body (euro lights, for one thing)
-Alloy Wheels coming from the TinyRC Group buy (bit Sprinters)

honestly it looks alright it does need some things like more pained details and tinted windows and better cf hood but you did say it wasnt done if it sounds like im hatin im not i have no room to say and what is mosfets? and where do you get all the perfection stuff at (i cannot get anything online)

Update: 01/19/04

Did some changes that you suggested here and in the gallery.

Changes are as follows:

-Euro-Lights
-Soft-Top made from black electrical tape
-Tinted windows and headlights from inside using elec. tape
-A new grill (electrical tape), will soon put on a fine mesh grill instead
-A new hood made from, well, you probably know what I'm going to say

On the hood? Well, real CF doesn't conform well to the small hoods, even in it's non-resinated form, ie: still fabric. Anyway, it wouldn't be very realistic, given that I'd be able to fit about 20 visble weaves on the hood. However, I do have some thin, flexible plastic material that has the appearance and texture of scaled-down Carbon Fiber, so I might use it. I got the material fro a calculator case, and it is about the same material as a plastic pencil pouch.

UPDATE:03/10/04

I added a body kit from sheet styrene and a wing. Painted red. I will post a picture in the gallery in two days when the paint dries and/or I find my digital camera.

these are more suited to what you need , thewy are decals made to resemble cf.they are very good used on model planes and cars.

Thanks, but my body is a gonner now. It fell off the paint stick a few minutes ago while the paint was still tacky (takes 4-6 hours to set) and rolled in the dust for a little while. The wing and front body kit are broken, and there are smears and dust in the paint. I'll still post post-mortem pictures of it.

BTW: The paint that I used does not sand well, even after it's dry. And I don't want to put a coat of primer to fill in the dust, because it will further cover up the panel lines.

I semi professionally paint things alot [motorcycles , cars , bits]
what kind of paint are you using?
it doesn't sound like the right paint for what you are doing.

Rustoleum. It works well normally and is thin enough that it won't fill in panel lines unless you have more than 5 or so coats.

microspeed: your 4.2 pro is only 8.99 on toy island! shipping and hadling is 6 bucks though. it would be nice if you could buy it here at tinyrc with some other stuff and not have to pay extra s&h.
how does this motor compare to the rspec two???

I've never had an R-Spec, but I've heard that they're great motors. I got my 4.2 Pro motor from www.toyeast.com. It was only $4 for the 4.2 Pro and normal 4.2. Shipping for me was $13 or so, but I had bought about $20 of other stuff as well. If I had only bought the motors shipping would have been $6-8.
