Tamiya motors
Incase you don't know what these are, these are motors that go into these little Tamiya cars that you put on tracks and will go really fast because you can adjust the power on the motor. You can find them in hobby shops everywhere but I'm wondering if these would work in an XMODS.

The motors you are asking about should work. I know someone that is getting ready to put the plasma motor in an xmod. As soon as he has time and lets me know how it works. I'll post the results..

They're cheaper in the sense you can buy just one, and not have to pay 15.99 for 4 of the same motors with different pinions.
They're almost 5 bucks at Tower Hobbies.

Looks like they might be able to outbeat a Stage 2 motor. 19,000 rpms at only 2 volts.

In theory, they should be faster than a stage 2, but 3x the voltage doesn't necessarily mean 3x the speed. Also, how much torque does it have? RCs are a little heavier than the cars these are designed to run.
But still I would imagine that these should be at least a little faster than the stage 2, if not alot.

yes it works!! i dont know how much faster it is but it sounds faster! sorry for the multiple posts, but i dont know how to add pics to a post. to sauter the motor to the wires just sauter it in the exact same pattern that the wires are when you take them off an extra moter(i used my stock 26k one because i have the stage 2) here is a pic with the motor in...
