Post Zip Zap se review

Just got my se today. The guy was tryin to tell me about initial d and ae 86 and driftin and stuff and I was like yeah I know. Anyway they had the yellow and the white one. I got the yellow one. Here is the review.

speed: speed is good w/ the nx motor. The stock motor was never put into my car so I can't comment on that. But what I can say is you should use one of you old body's w/ no lights. Whether it was the extra weight or the drain I saw a definate difference in the speed. About the lights, If you don't mind the slowdown, they are awsome.

runtime: Mine came charged, did yours? On that first charge(the one it came with) the batt lasted at leats 5 minutes that is with nx motor and the lights on. On the second charge the I used it for about 5 mins and put it away. Would have went longer though. The second charge is using nx motor and no lights.

Handling: Mine went perfectly staight out of the box and turned pretty equal. The stock tires with nx motor and the light body on w/ the lights plugged in is a great setup for handling but might not be faast enough for some.

Overall I think it's awsome and even though a bit is faster the zzse can beat it any day on a track. And the zzse is cheaper than the average bit. WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!! This is me----->

Dude, it's called a second opinion. If you don't want a second opinion why did you click on a thread that says zzse review?

well airline2, i think that i had some very useful info about the lights, with handling and the drain on speed and batt power. Also we are finding out that more than one shipment is good, that the good things about them will be with every one, (with a select few exections). Also... j/k just try to chill on posting mean/demeaning stuff, i will get you in trouble with the 'green one.'

Jtskty: awsome review, i was wonderign about the lights, beucase i plan to use my lancer or 911 body, glad to here that i will have the upper hand on the initailD fans

Thanks, I thought someone would find it usefull. About the lights taking speed I am not sure if it's the drain or the weight but that body is definately slower. I could compare it to taking the body off to having a body on with the old zips. But, the lights look like they could be taken off with minimal work.

If anyone else wants more info in a cerain area or has a question just say so.

Just a note to airline2 please respect peoples opnions howd you lke it if your typed up a review of SEs and someone just said "Well BadCompany aready did a review" And every single one of your posts it 1 sentance with out any captialization anyway. When you post in a forum its not like a chatroom use proper grammer. And try to make your posts full of some form of useful info or though not just:

I agree the stock body adds a lot of weight.

I dig the lights, but I just lowered my front tab so low that body aint fitting on again, oh well...I think I'll get over it.

@Jtskty, ditto on all accounts. I bought two of the Savannas when they first hit the local stores (about a week ago), and both of them work flawlessly... no wheel stutter, equal turning in both directions, battery pre-charged, long runtimes on a single charge, and a car that flys with the purple motor and red gears.

I didn't even have to twiddle with the steering or null adjustments in the controller or the car, it worked perfectly right outta the box -

@Jtskty/vtheo/CheeseWarfare/metsrule119, a big ditto on all accounts.

Very good review Jtskty! I really didn't do a full review, just pointed out some things in the FAQ. Your review pretty much summed it up the way I would have put it. My first car did have steering issues, but I corrected it through tuning. My second and third cars ran perfect out of the box.

To answer your question, mine came pre-charged too.

To remove the lights, all I did was gently pry the glue away and they popped right off. Then I unscrewed the LED PCB and away they went to be installed in another body.

BTW......Why does my name keep coming up in all these arguments?
