Insanely Fun! This thing’s performance is outstanding, here’s what I ran it with;
I tested with a tomy 50 mah battery double charged
9.86:1 gear ratio
Bit racer soft tires in the front
Bit char-g stock mediums in the rear

Crazy torque, blazin’ top end combine for a sick motor… I love this thing, I think more than my R-spec… nah j/k. It’s got crazy speed and stability in the corners, I love the acceleration too… I think I’m going to switch the gear ratio to 12:1 for more acceleration. Plus the friggin thing is damn fast for linoleum, taming it down won’t be that noticeable.
There’s no doubt in my mind that it’s one of my favorites now.

I tried it in my Wild char-g too; it zips around pretty good for a wild now… probably comparable to a bit w/ 2.2. (again a double charge is a must). The added torque of the motor gives it that extra umf to get going.

I just put the formula 34 in my brand new MS PRO booster 2 speed. Great Motor on any surface, carpet, tile or wood. In my MS Pro Booster, I'd say it runs pretty much like a stock BIT in unboosted mode, but it goes crazy fast when you pump on the boost button. On tile, the wheels start spinning when you hit the boost button. It runs crazy fast in my regular BITS too. Quality Control is excellent too. I have 4 of these installed in BITs and all of them run perfectly, with no weird screeching sounds like some of the other HI-PO aftermarket motors. My only question is why do they call it formula 34?

JackD, they call it a forumla 34 because it runs at 34,000 RPMs, its just a 3.4 with a different name.

Yet another torque monster.

I'm gonna have to update my Motor Usage Test graphs, to include my F34.

On a Stock, fully charged Bit:
- No Load = 90mA draw
- Max Load = 226mA draw

How do you test the motors ? I have a 4.0 from Hobbytron and I'd like to know if this is the real deal or a sham. I think you may have posted on this subject before, if so please forgive me.

Unfortuneatly my Motor Tests only provide power usage and Torque info...I currently don't have the means to test for actual RPM, yet!

Thanks. I checked out your motor usage data. Pretty impressive, I think NASA needs more cats like you working on the Space Shuttle.

I would like to know how these motors last. I have had other high torque motors that seem to die after a couple hours worth of run time. I hate spending 8 - 10 bucks for a motor that only lasts a few hours. I have 1/10th R/C motors that are like 10 - 15 years old that still run strong (keep rebuilding them). Keep us posted on life of the motor please.

TINY, maybe you could tell us what the life expectancy of these motors is. Thanks.

Seriously, I have had the same problems. Motors sometimes die after an hour or two of straight use. I am going to try the formula34 this weekend. I heard that they last longer. The one motor that hasn't let me down is the Perfection 3.8. They claim to be rated for 580 hours of use. I've beat on those things the most with no noticeable loss in performance. They are not as fast as some of Tiny's motors though.

I like the perfection 3.8 so far too. I have only had them for a few weeks.

I bought 3 motors from one place a couple of months ago, two different speeds. They are all dead now, except the one replacement they sent. I bought 2 motors around the same time from another place. Also two different speeds. They still work great. All the ones that died were only used in single cell cars. The ones that are still going strong are both being used in two cell cars. They look more like the same construction as the perfection motors and zip zap motors. All my zip zap motors are still going strong too.

That 580 hours is bogus I'm afraid. The rating is derived from testing at near zero degrees, with no load. This is nothing like what happens when used in a Bit!

the formula KILLS my 3.8's in any bit..this motor was the only one that could realy get my wild char g MOVIN!!! MAD props to TINY another great product...
