Lowering Jobs

Anyone want to post pics and how-to's for their lowering jobs?

"I'll show you mine if you show me yours!"

So this picture isn't exactly of the lowering job, better one up later! However, you can see that the wheel is right up in the wheelwell. Can't get much lower than that! I wish the frame touched the ground, there's only so much you can do with these things.

still have a lot of clearance, considering making a kit.

suggestions/advice?

Darf!

*sigh* I was wrong. You can't even see the closeness of the wheel to the body.

Let me try again!
okay, this one is much better!

Just a note!

Sorry, I'll stop with the pictures.

I remember reading about someone with a rediculous engine deal that wasn't very attractive. I just wanted to say for the record, I did this one right.

cut through the hood and all.

I think it looks clean anyway.

note: it's a little bit off kilter (slid too far forwards) but that's because it's only in there temporarily until i get a chance to paint the body.

Thanks! I was planning on painting it black (i know rather boring) but doing my darndest to put this tribal flame design i came up with for my real pt... I think it may be too difficult being the size it is, any tips?

I think the best way is just to use a fine brush and hand paint the flames, but as we all know that can be scary. Maybe mask it?

If not I may just go for an old hot-rod style flame job, black with flames white-yellow-orange.

about the LED's? Well, I had LEDs in there and actually had to remove them to do the lowering job. the PT is tall? but it's not that wide at the top, I even had to trim up the chassis a bit up top.

I might be able to fit tiny LEDs up front, but with the drop, the wheels take up almost all the free room up there, the back would work though.

Also I'm displeased with the way it looks (I had LED's underneith it previously) does anyone know how to get the light to look like it's actually under the car rather than concentrated at the front and back?

perhaps some ultra-tiny leds? any info would be appreciated.

thanks a million!

I found some really tiny flashlight bulbs i'm going to try for headlamps... they're really thin, i may just hollow out holes for them (since my zip doesn't have those nice clear headlights)

Or perhaps i can thinner the light area to make them clear...

I'll figure that out in a bit.

(bit!)

sorry, i'm a loser.

[edit] Well, the flashlight bulbs were basically a waste.
For some reason i thought a 3v lithium would cut it. I don't have room for a "bigger and better" battery under my chassis for the bulbs. Guess I'll stick with what works and see about getting LEDs.

Anyone interested in selling a pair of bright white or bright blue LEDs? or possibly trading for some SMD LEDs I'm about to buy?

There must be somewhere cheaper than radioshack or in bulk. I don't need 10 for 10 bucks plus shipping and radioshack wants like 3-4 bucks a piece!

thanks a million

Zephyranthes, care to share how you went about it?

I relocated the front tab and made a new hole for the back one (basically) and then sanded, shaved, and tinkered with untill it was as low as it could be and all the wheels were unobstructed.

Does anyone know how to go about getting a set of front rims from a micro sizer or bit char-g, because i am currently looking for a set and i dont know where to get one. I have replaced the rear wheels with smaller front wheels i got from my friend and its pimp but. . . in the process of doing so, the axel bent a bit and the rim cracked, so i just need a new set of front wheels and thats about it.
