Precious vs. Shen qi wei?

Before I started this hobby, I remember bookmarking a website where people submitted their reviews on bit clones. I was curious how the Precious clone compared to the Shenqiwei (vs. compatibility with regular bits).

I saw some pictures of a Precious on this forum and the body looked very nice (clear windows) but that was all I learned.

As for Shenqiwei's they are great clones (compared to a Bensu I used to own...). They can be adjusted to drive straight fairly easily, but will not reverse straight. The tires are fairly good quality (something I learned to look at after seeing how Bensu apprently just uses rubberbands.... :X)

The rear axle metal is a little softer than a regular Bit (It bends slightly when I pull it off the chassis, but not enough to deform the metal... it'll spring back, however, I imagine it is fairly easy to bend out of shape if it bends in the first place!)

The motor is quite powerful compared to a stock 2.0 bit, but less powerful than the ZipZaps 2.0/2.2 motor. The motor's end is shaped similar to the Bit motor's, but the body of the motor is more similar to the zipzaps. (Difference between zz and bit is that the ZZ motor is a complete cylinder, whereas the bit motor has a sort of notch at the top near the gear.) This makes it difficult to fit Shenqiwei motors in Bits, but easy to fit Bit and ZZ motors into Shenqiweis.

The chassis itself looks pretty strong... all the wheels are aligned straight. (Bensu's are not very straight, they wobble!)

As for the Body, the plastic is quite tough, however you have black painted windows because the plastic is not clear. :T
The body is a pretty thick plastic so it looks durable and the details stand out pretty well so it might be a nice body to repaint.

The controller looks like any other bullet controller... not much to say here.

The range is better than my microsizer in my house... I don't really know how far it is.

And incase you forgot my original question, I was wondering how the Precious clones are in comparison to SQW and actual bits.

there must be hundreds of posts about this very comparasion in this forum. Try searching!! IMO prescious are better. do a search for clone comparasions. or just prescious... you should find tons of opinions on this..

Well, I was just curious which one would be a better deal if you had the choice between a 10$ Shenqiwei or 10$ Precious/BitCharA.

I was able to find more in depth reviews on Shenqiwei's but not a lot of reviews on Precious other than:
"Precious is best! Precious is great! There is a clear body!"

Is Precious great and the best because it comes with a clear body? Or is there other reasons... I was also wondering what parts would be compatible if I bought a precious... :T

I guess with an unlimited amount of money I wouldn't care and just buy them all but I don't have a job at the moment. :/

I think I would lean towards the shens if I had to choose one or the other, but both are great clones.

I also mod the heck out of these cars. They seldom resemble what they started out as when they're done!

precious are 100% compatable. and the steering is usually pretty dang good too.

they say that shens are also 100% compatable, however the motor resembles a zip zap motor,and has that large endbell so its a pain in the but to get it to fit in a bit.. but it is possible. so in my opinion its only 90% compatable.

shens, the motor busted up my BCG quite a bit... and it STILL doesnt fit! i wouldnt want to use it anyway tho... cuz it's not all that fast, it just is very very torquey...

KIT 2.6 runs faster in my bit than in my shen... but my shen pulls wheelies (back/forewards) with the KIT motor... wierd? yes.
can anyone hook me up with what's goin on?

oh, and for a shen review, rummage through the alberta thread... i think it shouold be around page 80 or so... SHOULD......

I've never read that thread. It's humongous! I don't have enough patience for it with my 56k modem!
