2 sec 1/4 7.7 mph BIT!
Oh my gracious, land sakes alive!!!!
I have not ever been able to get a Bit Char-g to go straight for any speed beyond 5 mph. I HAVE BROKEN MY LIMITATIONS!!!
I just built a Bit that runs straight as an arrow, and is as fast as my 3 cell booster Zap. The 20.6 foot scale 1/4 mile time is roughly 2 seconds or less from a dead stop! Top speed is yet to be determined, but it runs with my Zap which runs 7.8 mph!
Specs:
Microsizer chassis
Zip Zap front knuckles, wheels, and steering arm (tie rod)
Triple steering springs from Microsizers
Blue (low gears) from a Zip Zap
2x 150mah nimh cells
Bitmod1 3.5 motor
LXX AM supra body w/o spoiler
"Precious Clone" PCB
Microsizers 27mhz transmitter.
This is the fastest Bit I have ever built or seen. I almost threw this car away, because I broke the 27mhz crystals in the transmitter, but I use the MS Tx that I just got and it works fine!
I will post pics later, I am at work. I don't have my video camera here today, either. I have had trouble getting my web site to host my video's because they don't allow much data transfer.
Maybe I'll post vid's later, I don't know.
I have re-kindled my love for Bit Modding!!!
I can't wait to see how this car responds to an R-Spec, or Formula 3.4!

Oh yeah, I forgot. Well, I guess the 18.857142 feet would be a little faster then. I have just been running it in the same area as the 3 cell zap. Remember that vid? This thing thumps the wall just as hard at the end. hahahaha

i believe ya. but if you go by scale the bit is faster than the zipcrap. 3 springs? i guess that would work i tried 2 once and it definatly helped for dragging.

3 steering springs eh,.. might be a worthwile mod to make your own out of thicker guage wire.
i'll have to try it tonite. my dual 150 bit(cells under the pcb) still flips when the front wheels randomly turn so this will be a cool test.

Yeah, it's good for roundy stuff too. For some reason, I still get full steering travel, but it doesn't deflect off small stuff anymore.

I just hit 10 mph with this little bit on the treadmill!!! I used some red Zap gears, so it doesn't have as much off the line. I am sticking with the green gears, I think. It does around 9.3 mph with those. This little Bit is wicked!!! I don't think it would get these speeds on normal ground, but there is a little less resistance on the treadmill.
