Im currently modifying a chassis so that 3 cells can fit in it.

The steering coils are crapped up so I wanna put new 1s in without damaging the new ones when tryin 2 get them out!

what i do to remove the coils is use an exacto knife with a new blade, wedge it in between the coil and chassis, be careful not to cut your coil wires. Also the glue that is used to hold the coils in is kinda rubbery like a contact cement or something so youll have to work the knife a lil bit to get it in there. Just remember Be Careful with the knife it will cut the coil wires easily.

Hi peeps,,

Carefully use a heat gun (hair dryer on steroids) to heat the glue,, then gently pry the coil away from the chassis.

WARNING!!!!! Chassis is usually junk after you use the heat gun,, but the coils are out really nice.

Nice idea.

Ive killed a few clones already!lol

I might just wind my own coils, n get a soft iron rod 2 go inside the coils.

I like the heat gun idea. I tried the exacto knife with poor results. I have hade better luck with thinner or acetone.
