3.0 motor problems

Hi there
I've had a bit of a search on the forum, and i can't see if anyone has found a solution.
I just got a 3.0 motor from QFM - my problem is that sometimes my bit will get stuck if i stop. Quickly going in the opposite direction will then seem to "free" it, and it'll go again.
I've taken a good look, and it looked like the motor gear is not quite meshing - i've solved this by adding a very thin bit of plastic to move the motor closer to gears. This stops the gears sticking (they run nice n smooth now ), but it still stops occasionally.
(BTW - i am using the right gears )
Is there anything else i can try? I've tried changing position with screws at the back, lubing anything which moves, etc - is there anything else like "running the motor in" (whatever that means)
???
Thanks

I hade the same problem, but it does't get stuck.
The problem can be that your plastic is to thick and gets your motor too close to the gears try to thiner it abit.

I hope it gets better!!

I'm wondering if your idler gear is rubbing against your tire?? If so, you could reverse the pinion gear on your motor, creating a ridge to keep the idler in place.

3.0s were destined for a problematic future...as they are actually meant for Bit Racers! Solution = Any OEM 3.1+ engine. I recommend the wonderful 3.5 by Bitmod1!
