FYI: Cub Foods now sells Bit clones

GF calls me at work from work(Cub Foods) and say's the got mini r/c cars now for $9.99 each. So I have her pick me up 3 of them. There called Rally Racers, And they have them in 4 different fq's 57, 27, 45 & 49.

Just thought Id'e let the board know

After reading this post yesterday, I went to the Cub Foods in Mankato, Minnesota today and found them too.

Here are a couple shots: The first packaged one is a 45 mhz without the bubble- I don't know what kind of car it is (Gloria??).



The second one is a 57 mhz Skyline.



They have black painted windows, and a black cover over the PCB. Speed is very good, steering is pretty good, and they have nice gear mesh. Very nice paint, but the paper-backed stickers are goofy.

Very much worth the $9.99 price. (I might even pick up a 27 mhz one to do a PCB swap on my ZipZap!).

I think for $10 bucks you can't go wrong. I stuck my ZZ red motor and green axle on it, works pretty well I think. And if I F-it up I won't be to sad.
