Talking Wider is Better!

This is my first mod and i dont know if anyone has ever done this before but here it is...

I have got a blue zz motor in my bit (seems faster than stock)
I have green zz gears (also seems faster than stock)
I put em in cause they were free...

Any how i noticed that i could take the zz wheels off the axle
and once i got the wheels off i started digging through all my old slot car wheels and tires.

I found a pretty wide set of wheels and to my suprise they fit on the zz axle perfectly.

so i put the tires on and now the wheels are way wider than stock ones and stick out of the fender. I dont know if this helps handling or traction but it looks awesome!

I had to add a spacer (washer, nut, etc.) between the wheel the chassis on one side to make the wheels stick out equally on both sides of the car.

I will post some pics. as soon as i can.

What's the effect on handling?
I would think that wide tires combined with no diff would make tight turns pretty weird.

I have not noticed anything really wrong with the handling, but with a bigger motor it may have some effect.

i will try to put pics up today...
