Car will only move on charger?

Just got my first Zip Zap, a 04 NSX, ill be getting some SEs soon, but it would be nice if this thing would work

anyways the car seems almost like it wont charge or something, the light on the controller is always green, and i can only get it to steer and or accel/reverse the first few seconds its on the charger

is my car broken?

atleast i love the way the NSX body looks , hopefully my SE models wont be so broken when i get them in in a few days

I have a car with the same problem, I have found out that it's the cars internal battery. It has gone bad. There not too hard to replace, the only problem is trying to find a replacement battery.

it does, strangely i've found some of my cars seem to just be strait out quicker and more responsive then other cars, ill assume thats the same issue

do i need to make any modifications to get a regular Zip Zap body to fit onto a SE chassi?

Nope, no adjustments needed, that's the neat thing about them. I have three regular cars and one SE, and I swap bodies all the time.

Most SE bodies do have hook ups for lights or in some cases, music, there is a set of SE bodies out there, Cadillacs I think, that actually play music when you run them around. and of course, there pretty hard to find.

Regular zips don't have any hookups for lights or sound, but you should still be able to switch the bodies around.

I've also found that if you charge them a fewof times (wait until the light turns green) without them running off the charger, that the batteries come back to life, and they start working as normal again. Just make sure you have fresh batteries in your controller.

Thanks for the tip. Too late for mine, I pulled it out and trashed it. Sigh...
