motors and stuff

only having my bit for a little over a week...i used to want the 3.0 motor...but the more and more i read about it..all i see is negative stuff and how bad it is and how many problems it has.....currently i'm running a 1.0.....2.2....and 2.6 in 3 of my 4 cars(the 4th i can't use cause i bought a booster machine set and can't seem to find a 4ch controller anywhere--i'm too lazy and impatient to order online--oh well..it just gives me more time to paint it).....i usually race around on wood floors...and the 2.6 is nice..i'm using the 12.1 gear with it and it seems to be the best combo i have found for it.....but it still can be out of control a little....i think the best all around motor has to be the 2.2....it just has control all the way around....what gears do you use with your 2.2?..i'm using the orange 9.86:1 ......anyways..i've forgotten why i posted now...i still want the 3.0...just to have..its less than 10 bucks..so why not?...i just wanna check it out

what problems with 3.0?

Okay, maybe I haven't dug deep enough in the forums, but what exactly are the problems with the 3.0 motor? I am using a 3.0 bit racer motor on my bit charger for a couple weeks now. Should I be concerned about that, too>

The 3.0 has reliability issues, some ship dead in the box, others burn out after a few uses. We recommend sticking with the 2.2 and 2.6.

if the 3.0 does that, what happens with the 3.8? does it fry the board?

The 3.8 that I tried was slower than a 2.2, but it could have been a dud, I need to try another one.
