Loud Noise Little Response.

Sorry if this is not the right place I'm new. =]

Just bought my first couple Gen 1 xmods (a black civic coupe the silver acura rsx, and the skyline.)
All stock, have been great for the few days I've had them. However I took the civic to the park yesterday and drove it a little in the parking lot. Maybe like 15 minutes total. My daughter wanted to play in traffic so I cut the driving short and packed it up. I didnt notice anything wrong at the time. When I got home and put it down to drive it, it was MUCH louder than it ever has been (or the other 2 I bought) and less than responsive. It goes forward but doesnt turn like it should, reach the speed it should, or sound like it should. Pop the same batts in another car it runs fine so its not the batts. Blew it out in case of debris, took apart the tires and made sure the bearings were clean. Everything looks fine. So I plan on returning it today, but since its sunday the store doesnt open for a few hours. I thought I would ask you knowledgeable folk before I take it back. Is this common? Is there a fix?

Thanks in advance,

A2thak.
