My Aston Martin V12....my first SE please look
Hi guys I am new here...I have been wanting to get a micro rc for a long time...have always seen those at walmart and didnt quite convince myself that they are good...I am mostly interested in the monster trucks....so finally last week I went and bought 2 monster trucks...and last night a ZZSE...I wanted it so I can put my chevy pickup body on it...so I bought the aston martin v12 James bond version...
As I was putting it together...I got the feeling like the chassis was not right or it looked like someone tampered with it already...can you guys please check out these photos and tell me what you think...the SE is a 2005 model...
Do all of the chassis have a plastic cover over them or is mine pretty much the same as everyone elses?

It seems to run well....pretty fast...are there any difference between the SEs that use the regular rectangular controllers and the ones that use the trigger type controller(this is what I have)....

The trigger controller are for the SE's. They have semi-proportional controls, in that there are several different turning steps and drive speeds.
The ones with the rectangle controllers are completely different. They have the magnetic steering, run on 1.2V instead of 2.4, and are non proportional.

SEs
So do most people that have the SEs like them better over the regular ZZs? Why did radio shack call this line SE(special Edition)? Is it from improvements? I just bought a Initial D Mazda SE...and will be getting it soon...cant wait...
I am trying to find the upgrade kit...with the gears n motors...but Radio Shack is not selling them anymore...I saw it last week and didnt get it and this week its all gone....the guy said he thinks they are discontinuing the ZZ line...

Both of the different kinds have advantages. The SE's seem to encounter more problems, with the steering mostly. The regular ones are very easy to tri-cell whereas adding more power to the SE's doesn't work because they have a voltage regulator.
I have both and like both. As for the upgrade kits, good luck finding one. I can't believe your RS had one recently. You can look on ebay and find different motors sometimes. I stocked up as soon as all that stuff went half off and I'm glad I did.

Well I guess its too late for me to get anything from Radio Shack...just have to hunt for em else where...you see the deal was I remember seeing the tv ad for the zip zaps monster trucks...a while ago...and though man I ought to check that out...then all of a sudden I just forgot all about it till NOW!!! LOL just when they are going extinct....I didnt know anything about zzse's till last week...just dont go into Radioshack much...but I sure check out the walmart and other dept store mini rcs...but they dont interest me much...except for the monster truck ones...which prompted me to check out the zzmt last week...
