Quad cells

Ok, so if you mod your MT to use quad cells in series, 4.8 volts, does everything else function fine? Like can it still steer and drive alright with out burning anything out? Does it receive the signal from the controller alright?

I was just conserned if it messes with any of the components on the board.

I have 2 quad cells. None of the electronics have had trouble. It is still hard to steer though. The motor wants to push the truck from the rear right. You may also have to weigh the front down to keep the wheelies under control. I find quad cells and all season tires to be a good combination on smooth floors. It spins the tires rather than wheelies and you can do lots of neat tricks, 360's, reverse hooks, drifting, etc...
