After getting a 3rd gen ZZ, I realized that the non-SE Zips are far better for track racing. The 3rd gen SE seems to be too glitchy and cant hold a straigt line. I just picked up a Mitsu EVO and with the proper mods, it smokes the SE around the track. I have much more control now. Does anyone feel the same?

Absolutly! Dual cell that Mits and there won't be a single SE around that stands a snowballs chance. (hehe)

You could take it one step farther and make it direct drive by removing the transfer gear so the motor pinion drives the axle gear directly. Makes for a slower "off the line" but much higher top end. Try it. You will be impressed, and your friends will cry after spending $25 on a car that a $10 car will blow out of the water!

hey--new to the site, just got another ZZ to replace my old broken one, i bought the regular cuz its cheaper...but where can u get the regulars for $10? My first impression after seeing cheapo tiny RC cars was that these zip zaps are very precise steering wise, that was witha control motor, and putting in the purple motor showed me it was still tough to control, but when i bumped down to blue gears ive got something fast and controllable. I could use a few more cars to work with, maybe one for mods, one for racing, one for just playin around, although the great thing is u can switch it up whenever. Just wanted to know where to get the old edition ones for cheaper...the SE's dont really look that great to me. I love my old civic body along with my new car (its an NSX but i took out that body--the lights are clear so im puting LED's under em.) I was gunna buy one thinking they were better, but i love mine now--btw one last q are SE and regular parts interchangable??
