New ZZ

I got an SE for christmas, any dual bat mods? I also am wondering about version issues, post links to all good guides please! Are any old parts from 1 gen zz's salvagable? I have NOS motor, love it, but want more and ideas?

the SE already has a dual battery and you can put the orange motor or the purple motor and you can put faster gears in it that will give you more speed but sacrifice torque. the new se go way faster with the faster motors and gears than the first edition zz.

also what does the date code say on the bottom of the box or on the bottom of the lid that holds the batteries in. you want it to be new as possible, the newest i have found is the 08a04 and 09a04 those 2 date codes seem to be the best.

Um, thanks for the obvious. I know theres already 2, but combined to one to bring up voltage, but runtime sux. Should I be ok hooking up a 1.2v 160 mah up to it in parrellel with it?

The date code on the battery thing is O9A04

have you tried putting your zz se on your peak charger, thats what i do. it takes 5 min to charge and they last about 20-25 min.
well if you want to add a cell to it, you shouldnt mix capacities. you would be much better of adding another zzse battery in paralell, like make a 2s2p pack. a 2 seires 2 paralell. basically just wire positive to positive and neg to neg then connect it. you will have 2.4v with 140 mah and they will all drain at the same time unlike your 120 mah idea. the flaw in that is yo ucould damage that cell or the other cells while charging cuz they arent the same. had it happen before and its not good.

Dude, you have one of the newer faster SEs. If you put the NOS motor with the red gear setup into it the sucker will hall A_$.
