Wanting to paint my Supra flip flop...

Hey guys i'm going to paint my supra body flip flop Gold/Magenta Dupli Color. i'm getting the kit with the black base coat,the flip-flop paint and clear coat. this stuff is made for these kinds of stuff. I need directions on doing so. I've painted bodies with cheap paint before and it looked horrible, and then again i've painted with $60 a can paint and it looked perfect. so i'm gunna give this a try! Can someone give me directions on painting an rc body?

hey im in tennessee to nashville to be exact...but why on earth did u buy a $60 can of paint??? Ok well just tape off the stuff you dont want painted and spray it down 4 or 5 layers then clear coat it

Cool i live 40mins from Nashville in Columbia... $60 paint was a special flip flop paint made to lexan...

try under $20

lay down some primer and sand the primer smooth, get a few lite coats down.. then spray down the level 1 flat black... then layer up the color coat (which is clear) I would suggest 5 coats if you can make the small can last that long.

Then let completely dry then start your clear coat. I use the entire can of clear because I sand the clear coat when its dry so that its butt-ass smooth and looks 100% professional. (use 1500-2000 grit to sand the clear) but be careful to not sand down to the paint... its easy to do...take your time

No kidding. I bought that paint for some of my truck and paintball stuff. Its only like 20 something bucks.

I think i'm going to paint it Ultra Flat Black.... and either smoke the lenses or paint the inside and add silver accents....
