broken pcb
I have an atomic z-car, but it won't run well. The car is the same as a bit, so im asking yall to help. the controller works fine on my other cars of the same frequency, so it has to be the pcb.
anyway, the car only gets a signal in little bursts, so it runs for a second, then stops, runs, then stops. I checked the pcb against my other working z-car, and it looks the same, so i suppose some component is broken.
can anyone tell me what is up with this car? if i replaced the fets, would it run? is there a problem with the crystal or the crip. cap.?
thanx in advance for all the help

well if you can solder well. then detach the antenna and get a new wire and solder it there, that maybe the problem.

thanx, ill try it, but range does not seem to be the issue. The car sux at much when im 2 inches away as it does when i am at ten feet. I can only assume that the circuitry is bogus. If i can get this car to run at all, then i will turn it into a dragster, and remove the reverse option by taking out the transistors, and rerouting a couple wires. But this sucka is gonna be a parts car if it doesn't get fixed. any ideas are welcome. i will try almost anything to get this car running again. thanx again.

This may sound kinda stupid, but i had the same problem... Untill i found the battery was in backward... i looked at my other car and found the error.
That explains the motor running with a jumper wire, cause motors run in both directions.
